Bold grain and makes a nice pen. Where does it come from?

Angelim pedra (Hymenolobium excelsum) is found in the central and eastern parts of the Brazilian Amazon region up into the Guianas and south into Rio de Janeiro.
It's sometimes confused with partridgewood, which has similar grain/figure.
