I've had to take a few days away from turning as I had other priorities but I was finally able to get back into my shop yesterday and finish building the stand for my new Rikon 70-150VSR lathe. Naturally, I had to take it for a test drive once I had everything situated so I just picked up a blank that I had cast the other day while testing a new, bolder hexagon pattern. I knew this was not likely to be a show-stopper blank as it was more proof of concept so I tossed it on a chrome wallstreet II that I had laying around.
