First pen on the new lathe, maybe 8th pen overall. Completely new to turning. I was using an old double tube lathe with an antique motor. My dad said he thought he paid about $65 for it new, lol. Picked up a Nova Comet 14dr during the week. What an amazing difference!!

Good tools make a world of difference for any craft. Sounds like this is a significant step up.
