First of all, props to Kevin (@KMCloonan) for making such a beautiful combo of resin and maple burl. I've been really eager to finally get to turning hybrid pens. I like the burst of color without losing the natural beauty of wood and without going full acrylic. This is a Vertex Rollerball with CA finish.
Note to Self:
Be more mindful/careful when gluing tubes. I've only worked with acrylics two other times but in this case, I have a few spots where glue either didn't spread when I spun in the tubes (leaving a faint glue line) or where glue never got to (leaving a small void that appears whitish). All in all, they're not glaring mistakes but things to be improved nonetheless.
