A few 3D UV resin printed honeycomb pens I cast a few days ago and turned this afternoon. The kits are PSI DuraClick. The honeycomb structure has been made with UV resin, NOT typical PLA filament. There's a huge difference. To make sure I didn't get any chipping or bonding issues, I custom mixed the UV resin, combining a flexible engineered resin with a machinable resin, which made a very strong, flexible and machinable structure. Once the honeycomb was printed, cleaned and cured, I pressure cast it with Alumilite resin @ 80 psi. There were zero bonding issues. These were a bit time consuming but fun to make!
