This white oak came from a log about to be burned in my fireplace. It was luckily saved from warming my living room. I will look more carefully for that needle in the haystack.

Stunning blanks/pens Mark. I'd say you hit "gold" with those. I frequently find very nice spalted beech in my yard's cuttings, but nothing of this quality.
