Alan I used my quite Small Bandsaw Basato 1 with a. 4 inch throat. So carefully cut it into sections a 6 tpi blade was all I had There's a lot of oil in this wood so blade clogging a bit of a problem lots of backing off required so cut slowly. A courser blade would be better.Mike, what did you use to cut up the bowl?
I cut up a bowl made from Lignum vitae with a bandsaw one time and ended up with a very blunt blade and a very tired bandsaw.
It was not easy to turn as it was like concrete, and looked a lot darker than yours.
Maybe crown bowls are a bit different, though I doubt it.
