This is just a trimline that takes about4 hours to build the blank. You use lots of CA and end up with burned finger tips and waste ots of glue. Hope you like it.Also, I dont know lots about posting photos, hope I did it right

One is with curly maple & blood wood the other is bocata and blood wood. I am just learning this technique and have wasted much wood ,vinyl,and glue. Also have burned fingers from CA glue.
 
So the above pictures show TWO pens ? . . I thought, by the way you worded the text, that it was only one.

Anyway, very nice work. . I can appreciate that it takes 4 hours to build the blank . . . would probably take me even longer.
 
Ps: you can learn the technique on you tube. Go to Exotic wood pens. He is great and has some of the prettest pens i have seen. I am 88 and dumb as dirt about this site and how it works. By the way, I make wine, beer and beautiful Grandfather clocks.I dont drink ,just like making it

LOL ! . . I am pretty old also . . . altho' not quite as "senior" as you ! ! :D ( ( Just reverse the digits of your age and that's me ! ) )

I would love to see some photos of your grandfather clocks. My wife's had a grandfather that made about 20 Grandfather, a few grandmother, and several wall clocks. He did not start until age 68.
