I had the honor of making a few items lately for gifts. The first is a set of Sierra knurl ti gold and chrome pens. These were made for my neighbors who just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. The pens were made from hickory nuts I gathered from their family tree in their front yard, cast in bronze resin. It's a tree her parents planted when they lived there.
The second is a cancer awareness pen made from one of my pink and purple flower blanks sets, for a friend.
The third is a pen I made from micarta and black resin to take a bic refill. My wife wanted a pen like this after seeing a pen Dick Sing Made in a demo. The micarta blew up on me while turning so I glued in some black resin to make it long enough to hold the Bic ink stick.
The last picture is a group of stylists I made for my son and his friends this school year. A stylist was on their list of supplies since they have issued iPads at school now. When my wife couldn't find a nice stylist for sale anywhere, she asked me to make him one. He was happy to let his friends all pick one too.
The last are a couple of Afghanistan service ribbon pens I'm giving to a man at the local American Legion.

WOW !! . . Some VERY BEAUTIFUL PENS, John !!!!

There will be some very happy recipients of your outstanding craftsmanship !!!

Well done John.
Great looking pens.
Definitely more blessed to give than receive, though those receiving are well blessed as well.

All are fantastic, but the 60th wedding anniversary pens carry a level of sentiment and craft that is inspiring! Beautiful on many levels.

I of course looked at the pictures first and really liked the first two. Reading that they were hickory nuts and the meaning behind them makes me like them so much more. Beautiful work on all of them!
