Hey guys!
Finished this second project back in early July, just never had a chance to post it here.
Ended up only making two pens this Summer, however, each took about 40 hours of work.
The original gradient-like color scheme was inspired by one of my favorite Reddit pen craftsmen u/Mlong140 (https://www.reddit.com/user/Mlong140/). With his permission, I gave the sunset pen my own unique spin. I attempted to make two dowels using my lathe chuck(in a really dangerous manner I suggest is not repeated) that would represent my sun and moon. I also used real gold flakes in resin over the ebony that surrounds my holly dowel moon. 10 species of wood later, some blue crayon for a sky, and a green resin scrap for grass. I complete this overly complicated sunset pencil!
