Life's been busy but finally got back to the lathe yesterday for some relaxation.
Someone gave me a yellowheart blank... seemed like a good time to try it.
Nice smell and easy to carve. Along with an ebony centerband, this was a quick fun project.

Very, very nice; lovely centerbands and I agree with Mal - the very subtle nib lip is a nice feature.
