Another Slimline using Golf ball markers. This time fewer colours and separation which I think improved the effect.
Hope you agree but please comment its appreciated.

The red and green look wonderful, as in the first pen. But (my opinion only) I feel the separators really give a striking visual upgrade.

Excellent segmenting. 👏 👏

I agree Mark with the fist pen I just wanted to see how well the material turned.

I always like your pens Michael, but from your Post Title, when does a Slimline become a Streamline and vice versa.
The excellent pen you show, I would buy as a Streamline, which I much prefer to the Slimlines available to me from my local Turners shop.

Not trying to confuse, just asking!

I read your comments with interest, I buy this kit from from Axminster and they class it as a Slimline with a slightly larger centre band which does allow for more creative turning. Myself even when turning a standard 7mm kit I try to add a little creativity.
Thank for your comments food for thought.

Hi Michael,

Another great pen. I love the ball marker and separation against the black back ground. What blank did you use?

Not sure about great but colourful glad you liked it. The blank is Ebony finished with CA.

Thanks Mike,
Problem solved !!
Axminster describe both of what I buy from Turners Retreat as Slimline and Streamline-(with the larger centre band)- as Slimline.

Both are 7mm but the Streamline is thicker at the centre band, allowing, as you say, a little more creativity.

My pleasure I also use Prokraft for some of my kits they offer a very good service and have some excellent videos.
