Pens made from my shop-made fordite

Here are some pics of the pens I made from my 2 attempts at making fordite. The upper pen is from trial 1 where there was significant bubbling in the blanks and the lower pen is from trial 2 where the bubbling is significantly reduced but not eliminated. I am going to try a 3rd attempt at making fordite that doesn't have any bubbles.

I think you're on to something here. Bet those bubbles would fill in nicely with some metallic tinted CA, epoxy, or something. Seems funny to pay attention to proper dripping when painting other stuff, but could be worthwhile. Too bad it takes so long to build up.
