Thank you. I am not happy using CA messy and I think looks artificial. The trial I have done with Laquer you seem to retain the the feel of the wood while not as glossy but is supposed to have wear resistance.Never used lacquer for a finish, myself. Veneer can be tricky. I like the concept of the segmenting! [emoji4]

Thank you for your comments much appreciated.I like it All. The colors and the finish. Great Work.
Thanks for that I used Cellulose Sanding Sealer thined 50% Cellulose thinners then wiped on about 6 coats of Laquer sanding 600 grit between Coates then polished with Woodward 22.i've used melamine for a few years and am quite impressed. I find applying an initial coat thinned 50% with cellulose thinners seals the blank . let cure over night then full strength coats flowed on with a decent artists flat brush to avoid brush stroke lines as it drys so fast.
After applying Melamine Laquer and buffing the Woodward 22 made little or no difference. For me the Laquer finish is good and doesn't look artificial.Wax of different types are good for what they do, but they do wear off. It should not be used to cover over scratches or hide any kind of imperfect finish or to enhance a hard finish as it will wear off and reveal what it hides.
If the wax is used with the intention that it will be used regularly, and the underlying hard finish is excellent in its own right, then it will work well.
THAT is how it should be. Too many see wax as a cover over as a final finish and it shows up in photos. I apologize if I come across as sounding like the "teacher"; I think finishing goals should be just as you are doing. Well I spent 30 years selling Finishing equipment I specialised in the Aerospace market Turbine Blades etc. Also the Medical market.THAT is how it should be.
