Dura click pen & pencil set, Mesquite burl and with modified nib couplers, made out of stainless steel knurled, the mesquite burls centers are 3.25" long

Very nice indeed !!! . You have some lovely Mesquite burl there !!!

Just a question ... the nib couplers for both ... are those modified from the original metal pieces ? ... or did you make new ones ? ... Look really good !!!

And I assume that you used longer brass tubes in both pen and pencil.

Mal, the nib couplers are new, the ones that came with the kits, were modified one of them got scratch marks, so the new was where made, the tubes are the same for both the pencil and pen
