After a week or so of replenishing shave sets, bottle stoppers and other items, it was a treat indeed to work on some more expensive pens. You may only make high end pens so you might get this thrill all the time, but I relish it. Here are two finished today, both "Conway Colors": Triton convertible with Azure Italian acrylic and a Baron rollerball in Vintage port Italian acrylic.

All my pens are "high end," Mark. ;) Haha.

In all seriousness, I hear you. There is definitely something nice and worthwhile about fitting some high quality components into a high quality blank and knowing that will someday be someone's prized writing instrument--the sort of thing that gets a prominent location on the desk and not just thrown in a drawer with some plastic Bics.

I bought the blanks and kits from Ed at Exoticblanks. He has convinced the factory that made Conway Stewart blanks to make some for him. So far the Vintage Port has sold, but the right person will come along...
