G'day!
Had this piece of fordite from the Ford factory in USA from the 70's. It was too thin to make a fountain pen, so I had it cast in some resin to make it usable. I was so pleased, the 2nd last pass of the skew removed 100% of the resin. Success!! I love it when a plan works! (Rarely happens)
There is some nice character in this piece, a few drips and random swirls. This material is getting extremely hard to source I'm led to believe. 10 coats of thin CA to protect it, on a gunmetal Devin Click from Berea. Lovely click mechanism in it.
Thanks for looking!

Tough finding some of the older stuff and when you do it is like gold. Just like alot of the old Italian materials. Love the color changes.

Reason its tough to find and turn means you have to be prepared to pay the price,no bargains needed ,courage and skill the secret IMHO Casey personifies this he is a turner of only a very short time debunking myths and others views and creating masterpieces.

Peter.
