Metal pens, especially brass ones, have a serious weight problem. In this model I was able to get down to a weight of about 33 grams without the cap. The body walls at their thinnest point are about 0.4 mm thick. Finally, a ballpoint pen is made of metal and is well balanced.

I like it. Especially the logo on the cap. I've been thinking of doing an all metal pen but wondering about the weight.

Nice. I started on a brass pen about 8 years ago. Got the cap done, and quit. I was told the pen would be too heavy.

I do like metal pens but I love this one! Just beautiful! How did you add the logo? Laser or CNC? Dimensions and thread sizes? I've made a similar design and ended up adding a roll stop after using it for week. I simply added a small #1 x 72 Torx head screw.

The color looks rather light for brass .... is that a photo effect, or did you treat the brass in some way ?

Plain, polished brass. It will probably get a patina over time. Ballpoint pen - it was supposed to be just a pen, without a ballpoint.
