This is a pen I just finished, which is a birthday present for my brother. My brother loves both bronze and red, so I decided to make him a pen incorporating both these materials/colors. In continuation with my exploration of overlays/metal components, I opted for a more linear pattern in the overlay, but still random. I also attempted to mirror the motif in the clip. I used a red/black alumilite blank I poured a while back for the barrel and grip. I carved/formed all the metal parts from wax, and then cast then in bronze. The pen is about 5.25" long when capped and 1/2"diameter at the threads (triple lead, 1mm pitch). The pen uses a jowo 6 nib, and is converter filled. Here is a video, which shows off the entire overlay:

John, your skills just blow me away! Beautiful pen. (By the way my Birthday is March 17th and I like a 1.1 stub nib ;) )
