I've used this wood a lot yet somehow it never showed up on my higher end pens. That has been corrected.

Data:
Drilled in lathe with Colt bits
Glued with two part epoxy
Flushed with Rick Herrell's lathe sanding jig 80 grit
TBC turning (Brian Nikitas)
4 coats thin and 12 coats 50 cps EZ Bond CA (very light StickFast accelerator after the last thin and after each 50 cps coat
Two hour cure
True up ends again 320 grit
Thin CA on ends
Sand twice with 400 grit
Buff with wheels 1&2 on Beale buff.
Press on lathe

I actually have two, a big one that is attached via a drill chuck in the tailstock and a smaller one that fits in an MT2 headstock piece. The larger one needs a faceplate, a piece of wood 5" or 6" in diameter and sandpaper disks. They both rock, but the big one with two faceplates (80 grit and 320 grit) gets the call every time now. I have made sized adapter tubes for every pen I make. I've used punches for 8mm tubes, but like the shop made adapters better as they are labeled by kit.

Thanks Rick!
