I turned this piece from an 8" x 4" Flame Boxelder Burl Bowl Blank
After the piece was removed from the lathe I hand carved a Butterfly Koi (modeled after one of my own fish in my Koi Pond)
The carving continues with lily pads and flowers as the carving continues around the bowl.
