The bottom image was my entry in the 2015 Shop Life BASH contest.
The top image is the original photo. I liked the pattern of the ribbons winding around the blank and being drawn toward the dust collector hood, so I took a quick shot with my iPhone.
Since the contest allowed filter manipulation, I used Photoshop to tweak the photo for a more interesting appearance. It took at least a dozen passes of selecting portions of the image and applying some sort of filter to achieve the end result of a gradual right-to-left cool-to-warm coloration effect with the various edge tintings. In the process, numerous trials at various selections and filters wound up in the trash bin.
