The bottom stylus shows the freshly shaped antler is very white and really stands out from the rest of that antler tine.
The middle one has been wiped with boiled linseed oil. The oil tints the freshly exposed antler to a color that's fairly close to the rest of the tine's natural color.
The top stylus has several layers of CA finish hand-wiped onto it and then polished. The end result is a fairly natural-looking tine for very little post-shaping effort.
