This summer the historic Cooper Beech tree on the grounds of the Fairfax Christian Church in Fairfax Va succumbed to the ravages of storms and age.
Estimated to be over 300 years old the Copper Beech was listed in the Virgina Big Tree registry.
I turned the pen from wood recovered when the tree was felled and the pen is a donation to the church for their annual fund raiser.
