This is a collection of pens that I did recently for an entry to be chosen for a club exhibit. They were selected for the 'Texas Turned' exhibit at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft going on right now.
The hardest part of doing pens like these is making the blanks. It is alot of little pieces, and a lot of glue.

Maple Celtic knot in Bolivan Rosewood.
Segmented twist with Olivewood, bloodwood, kingwood and ligum vitae.
Kingwood with maple and walnut veeners.
Herringbone pattern with oak, paduk, purpleheart and walnut.
Kingwood with purpleheart celtic knot boardered by aluminum and aluminum inlay throughout the bottom barrel.
