I bought the chuck and the original plastic carrying case was just not adequate enough even the reviews had said the same thing. Since they were right, I took some old plywood and threw together what turned out to be a pretty neat carrying case. The only thing not made of wood was the hasps. The hinges and handle are in place with Cherry dowels.
