What is the difference?

Pen kits that have the 10k gold or the gold titanium finish, what is the difference? Look at the Jr Gentlemen as an example, different vendors have them but the pictures looks pretty much the same between finishes. What is the actual difference and why does it make the titanium cost more?

It does look the same. However the titanium gold finish will last much longer than the standard gold one.

Titanium nitride is much harder than gold and longer lasting as mentioned above.
