Can't call it a tool gloat yet because it needs to be shipped to me.

I went to the Wood Working show being held at the Ohio State Fairgrounds today. Purchased a new (not refurbished) Delta 46-460 VS lathe for $488.00, Free Shipping. These sell everywhere I looked for $599.00.:bananen_smilies051:

Oh, and since I know the rule.............

Did you get one for me, too????

I've had a Delta for over a decade. Great lathe! But tired, run down, worn out (no comments about the operator needed!!)

Congrats on the purchase!!!

If it does not work out for you i would be willing to pay for the shipping of it to me!!!:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

For me it is still my $80 lathe...
Waiting for the next woodshow at the end of the month!!
Then hopefully it will be NEW TOOL TIME!!!

Congratulations on your new toy! That lathe has the really low slow speed and reversing feature, too, doesn't it?

I just got myself off the floor. Got one two weeks ago at the $599 price.
It's a great lathe, you will love it.

How was the show? I was there a couple of years back and there were some pretty decent prices. Wood Werks also had their sale last weekend and I didn't make that one either. : (

The show was good. I picked up several other odds and ends as well:wink: and attended some of the presentations. Some good news for you, maybe, Wood Werks sale is this weekend so if you can make to Columbus on Sunday you can still find some deals. I went there also today, and it was packed. Parking all the way down Claycraft Rd.

Yep! It will be a big improvement over what i have now!.

Great lathe. I was there looking at all of the deals yesterday. Wasn't too badly packed but still way too many people. I was looking at the Dewalt scroll saw but they wanted almost $500 for it and I didn't think it was that great of a deal.

I went to the wood workers show at the fair grounds on Friday. Saw lots of good deals too I just didn't bring enough cash! :frown:
Went to Wood Werks on Thursday and It was busy with them setting up for their three day sale. I was able to get several items at the mark down prices for the pending sale.

Mike,
That's a good lathe value at the regular price, at that price it's a steal. You should be arrested!!!

Can an officer arrest himself....if I remember correctly Mike is on the Columbus Police Department.

Can't wait to come see it in the garage.
