Man I've missed turning a pen! Here is a pair of executives I made from one of my newest home cast blanks. Since my blanks are 6" long I was just able to get both pens from the same blank. Both are MM to 12000 and I dusted off the buffing wheel and hit them with some tripoli and white diamond bc I had those pesky tiny swirls. Got them buffed out and man I like my results! Thanks for looking and comments welcomed! This is pen #1

Beautiful pens! The blue is so reflective(wrong word but can't think) that it appears completely transparent! I would swear that I can see right through the blue parts of the blanks, but I know there is something in the middle. The photos are real good also.

Doesn't a test actually have to test the blanks???? I am happy to help

That's what I need. I did two experimental blanks, one clear and one "ghostly transparant" and I'm just not good at reverse painting right now and totally messd up the clear one:redface:. I'm thinking the ghosting one will be awesome if done right so that's where my blank tester is needed

Thanks Charles! I did paint my tubes and "tried" to reverse paint the blank. I think I did a fair job on them since you can't see anything. Also, a big reason why the blue just pops like that is because I used jet black mica with no pearl in it. It gives a somewhat backdrop effect for the blue to jump off the pen.
