Well, I finally got to make my first pen. Kit and blank from PSI, made on a metal lathe with a home grown tool rest and carbide chisels.

Looking forward to the next one...

Thank you VERY MUCH !!! . That tool rest is extremely professional !!! . I am very impressed and will think of making one like that for myself. . I am wondering where you bought the extruded aluminum (looks to be square with webbed cross section) cross piece. . I suppose I will find something similar if I do a bit of shopping around.
